Late Mrs M. E. Ridge

The death occurred at the Peterborough S.M. Hospital last week of Mrs Mary Ellen Ridge, widow of the late John Thomas Ridge, of Bourke Street. Deceased had been in indifferent health for some time before her death. She was born on 27th May, 1867, at Burra and was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry McNamara, of Burra. She came to Peterborough in 1875 and was married on 9th October, 1889. Mr and Mrs Ridge had four children, all of whom are living. Mr Ridge was employed by the S.A. Railways Dept. and predeceased his wife on 15th March, 1926. Mrs Ridge had been a devoted Catholic always and a worker for St Anacletus Church for many years.
